Yesterday I went to beyondthebackpack.com and had Addie take the "kindergarten readiness" quiz. I was actually surprised at how ready she already is for kindergarten--I guess I have been doing my job after all! LOL
She still needs to learn our address and phone number and work more on rhyming words. She doesn't quite know all the sounds the letters in the alphabet make but she knows enough to be considered "ready". So I have made little lesson plans for her to do every morning in hopes that in the next year and a half she masters all the skills she needs to start kindergarten and be successful.
By the way, do you have ANY idea how sad that makes me that we are already thinking about KINDERGARTEN. Doesn't even seem possible......
