I've wanted to make the girls stockings since last year but I finally got brave and ordered them today. I hope that it's not nearly as difficult as I am thinking it is and that I can finish them before Christmas!Why all this Christmas talk today?
Well.....
It's the "first weekend of the month" so Zach is doing his military thing. The girls and I have been very busy re-arranging the furniture in the house in preparation for our CHRISTMAS TREE!
It all started yesterday morning when the girls and I ran to walmart to grab a few necessities. We were heading down toward the milk and we passed: the Christmas candy aisle. Oh boy! The girls sure did get excited to see all that red and green, all the snowmen, reindeer and jolly old fat guys in red! Christmas is my favorite holiday. Sure its a pretty tough time of year financially but I love the colors and the smells and the food and most of all, I LOVE decorating our Christmas tree. It just makes me happy!
So when we got home, after we played outside all morning (it was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L outside!!!), we got to work. After I did the living room, the girls helped me tackle their bedroom. They actually helped more than you would think. They are really good about picking up their toys when they are asked to (which I think is impressive for a 2 year old and a 14 month old) and they stayed out of the way when I was moving the big stuff.
The best part is, Zach is totally up for putting up our tree tonight when he gets home!
And yes, I know we are crazy!

I am more excited than ever this year to decorate too! I want to put our tree up ASAP but we always do a real one so I am afraid of it dying or drying out too early. I think I'm going to do it the weekend before Thanksgiving.
