Stockings and Santa

I finished both of the girls stockings today! Addie's only took me a day and a half  but Mia's was way more detailed so it took me almost 3 days.  But they are done and super cute! I am debating whether to put their names on them or not....the stitch required is a little tricky for my inexperienced hands but I am going to practice and see if I can master it. 
We took the girls shopping today and got them new long sleeve red sweater dresses, tights and boots for the holidays.  They are going to be little dolls!  While we were at the mall, Addie saw Santa and got SUPER excited! We have been talking about Santa alot lately. She immediately demanded asked nicely like the diva polite child she is to go see Santa.  Well, Mama decided that they needed to go home first and put on their new outfits before getting their picture taken with Santa! When we got back to the mall, Addie went right up to Santa and plopped down in his lap.  It was so funny! Mia on the other hand, was scared to death and wanted absolutely nothing to do with that hairy man! So we didn't get pictures of the girls in their matching outfits with Santa, but we did get a SUPER cute one of Addie with Santa.  I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed that next year Mia wants to cooperate!
I'm pretty excited about this week.  Sure I have a test on Monday but it's a short work week and then THANKSGIVING! Whoo hoo! Thursday we are headed over to Granny's with Zach's mom and Lloyd, then we will head over to see Zach's dad and everybody on that side of the family THEN on Friday we get to head over to Manhattan to spend the weekend with my family.  I am REALLY excited because that Saturday, Zach and I get to see NEW MOON!!!!!! : )
Great food, cute pictures of adorable little girls and a FANTASTIC movie all in one weekend???? Doesn't get much better than that!


PS Mia is sleeping in the toddler bed tonight.  It will be her first night sleeping in a big girl bed....wish us luck!
