But anyway, when he goes to these Saturday race thingamajigs the girls and I have a slumber party! I lay out our comforter in the middle of our living room, paint our toenails, watch movies, eat junk and stay up late! It’s a blast!
We played outside all afternoon then we came inside and danced around the house to Addie’s favorite CD (it has all sorts of interactive songs on it) then we had dinner and started doing the fun slumber party stuff!
After we had finished eating the last of the junk food, we brushed our teeth and put in a movie. I brought out pillows too and said “nigh night” and laid down (this is one of Addie’s favorite games for some reason, she likes to cover up her dolls or Mia and say “night night” as well but mostly she just likes to say “night night” and lay down herself). So I laid my head down, and like I figured, Addie copied and did the same. So we continued this same game a couple of times and then all of a sudden I realized Mia was playing too! Every time I would lay my head down, Addie would lay her head down and Mia would follow suit! The cutest part (if you can believe it gets any cuter) was that Mia would hit the floor fast (it reminded me of the part in the movie Dazed and Confused when the Senior girls were shouting “air raid” to the freshman girls!) and with a big smile on her face! She was so proud of herself for playing our pretend “night night” game and was having a blast doing so! So of course I would say “yay Mia” and she would immediately sit up and start clapping for herself. How stinkin’ cute is she?!?
Addie was being exceptionally affectionate tonight too. She kept throwing her arms around my neck and giving me hugs and kisses and sure enough (monkey see, monkey do) Mia started doing the exact same thing! She can’t throw her arms around my neck just yet so she would just grab my face and plant a slimy (she is teething) open mouth kiss right on my mouth. But it was so sweet so I didn’t care that she covered me in drool.
It has been so much fun watching the girls play together tonight. I love that Mia is starting to interact so much more. This summer is going to be especially fun with the two of them running around all over the place!

PS Oh and by the way, the reason why Mia is just in a tshirt and her diaper is because she is a very sweaty baby! She must get it from her daddy but she gets hot extremely easily and since it has been so warm this week, she has been wearing tshirts or onesies to bed. I tried putting her in a regular sleeper (even one without feet) and she literally moaned and groaned for like 20 minutes in bed because she couldn’t get comfortable. She was so hot. It was actually kind of funny because her eyes were closed because she was so tired but she was moaning away so I knew she wasn‘t comfortable! Addie on the other hand is like me and is always freezing…she could wear footie jammies in the middle of August and be perfectly fine!
