I did remember my camera when they were opening up their Easter baskets though!
The Easter bunny brought them lots of yummy goodies and some toys too!
After they played with their Easter goodies for a little bit we got them all dressed up in their Easter dresses and headed to Tulsa.
We went to Zach’s mom’s house first and visited with them for a little while. Addie and Mia got super soft bunny and lamb from Grandma and Papa Petree. And some Peeps too!
Then we went to Zach’s Aunt Dena and Uncle Bills’s house for Easter lunch and an Easter egg hunt. I ended up giving up on good weather at this point and changed the girls into jeans. It stopped raining for about 15 minutes which was enough time for the eggs to be hidden and discovered by the kiddos. They were nice and hid some eggs up close to the house and on the porch for Addie so she didn’t have to venture too far in the mud and the muck. She loved hunting for “balls”. She would gasp and exclaim “Ball!” every time she found one and she would put it in her bag (we didn’t bring her basket since it was pouring down rain when we left so we didn’t think she was actually going to get to do it). She liked hunting for Easter eggs so much that after all was said and done she asked Aunt Dena to hide them again (this time around the inside of the house)!
After that we went to visit my Aunt Beverly and Aunt Esther in Bixby where the girls got some more Easter goodies! They are loved by so many!
The girls were starting to get a little cranky so after an hour or so we decided we better head back to Joplin. The girls slept until we got into Joplin, which led to them NOT wanting to go to bed on time last night which was NOT fun for Mommy but I woke them up early this morning so hopefully we can get back to normal tonight!
Aunt Dena is letting me borrow Marley and Me! I am excited to have a new book to read!
I am in desperate need of a trip to the bookstore….I have just been re-reading the Twilight books over and over and over! I am thinking after I finish Marley and Me, I may re-read the Harry Potter series since I have been neglecting my Hogwarts friends since I discovered my vampires ; ) I do read other books as well by the way…I am not a TOTAL dork!
Here are some more pictures of the girls Easter morning:
