Our computer is officially virus free! Thank goodness!
The weird part is, I actually FORGOT I could get online this evening. I had just settled down in my favorite chair to read one of my favorite books when Zach reminded me (by saying that HE was going to get online for a bit) that we had a working computer again! Well, I couldn't just NOT upload new pictures and check my email and read all the blogs I've missed the last month! So, he is still patiently waiting for his turn.
So what new things have the girls been doing lately, you ask?
Well, Addie is little Miss Chatty Cathy these days. She finally will count to five on her own, to ten with a little help and correctly identifies her colors. This may not seem like that big of a deal but she has flat out refused to learn these things for MONTHS! She could name every single Disney Princess but refused to tell me which one is the green ball and which one is the red ball. Obviously she had different priorities! : ) She loves talking on the phone and asks me at least 5 times a day to talk to her Nana...she brings me my phone and says "Mama, I wanna say hi to Nanny" It's sweet.
She loves her new baby cousin Cruz and wouldn't let anyone else hold him the other day.
Oh! And her new thing is that she talks in the 3rd person ("mama, Addie wants a cookie" "mama, it's Addie's turn"). I have started teaching her how to spell her name. I cheer "A-D-D-I-E, what's that spell?" and she yells "Addie!" She also knows how to spell Mia too!
Mia can show you where her nose, eyes, head, belly and STINKY feet are and sometimes remembers where her hands are too. She added tons of new words to her already impressive vocabulary---help, stuck, bite, more, blue (referring to her blanket....even though her blanket is actually purple the boys I watch have blue blankets which they both refer to as just "blue" so she must have picked it up from them), and POTTY. Every day she points to the potty and says "Potty", when I ask her if she wants to go potty she nods and waits for me to take her diaper off. I then sit her on the potty and she will sit there for 15 seconds and get really excited. She hops off, looks down and points and says "Potty!" really excitedly even though she has only actually really used the potty a few times but she is so excited that I naturally get excited with her and give her lots of high-fives! She cracks us up!
I know there are a ton of funny stories that I need to post on here....but I can't remember right now! Luckily, I now have my computer back so I should get back in the swing of this blogging thing! : )
