And the verdict is........

GREEN!

After 14 months, we finally can tell what color Mia's eyes are!

I am not even kidding! They have been in the in-between colors for the past year! They stayed the newborn baby slate blue color for the first few months and since they weren't darkening at all, we all assumed (including her doctor who was the first to comment on it) that her eyes were going to be blue like Addie's. Then they turned this really weird blueish-greenish-brownish-grayish color and I was at a complete lost! I had no clue what color to call that.

Then today as we were driving back home from Manhattan, I looked back at Mia who was just starting to fuss because the sun was shining right in her eyes and that's when I noticed for the first time (and mind you, I check ever day) that her eyes had finally lost the slate blue ring that had taken up the majority of her iris and were a beautiful shade of green. I'm so excited! My eyes are an olive green color with specks of brown and gold so from far away and in most pictures they look brown but they are actually more green. Mia's are GREEN green! They still have a hint of blue around the edges but they are definitely green!
Hopefully they stay that way! : )

We had a fun weekend at Spooktacular! The girls were precious little princesses. Here is a picture of the girls with their Nana before we got all dressed up for trick or treating at the zoo:

They looked thrilled to have their picture taken, don't they? They actually REALLY love Nana, but they REALLY wanted to go outside and we told them they had to smile first.....such little sassy-pants!!! It's like they already understand sarcasm and use it appropriately! LOL

When we got home, we carved pumpkins (Well, I carved mine and the girls colored theirs). I'll take pictures and post them soon. I sliced my finger on the last one but nothing a band-aid couldn't fix!

Well, too bad it's not even 4pm....I'm ready for bed!!

That is funny that you posted this because I still can't tell what color Eve's eyes are either. Since Mia's eyes took so long to change, they night change continuously during life. I think Eve's eyes are going to be like that like my sister Stephanie's. Her eyes have changed back and forth between green, blue and brown and stay one color for a long time so it's not like they are "hazel." Stephanie and Eve have the same eye shape too (very almondy, oriental looking) so I'm guessing Eve's eye color will never be set in stone. It will be interesting to see if Mia's eyes do funny things too :) Green eyes are pretty though...

When I typed "Her eyes have changed back and forth between green, blue and brown and stay one color for a long time so it's not like they are "hazel." I was talking about my sister, her eyes have stayed one color for months/years at a time before switching. It sounded confusing when I reread what I wrote.
