Quote of the Day

So as I mentioned earlier, I have been so crazy sick this time around that I spend most evenings puking my guts out in the bathroom (however, so far so good today! No throwing up yet! *knock on wood*).
The other day, Addie had the unfortunate experience of witnessing one of these miserable incidents.  She just patted my back and kept asking "Mommy? Are you choking?" It was really sweet that she was so concerned.  Of course then she asked "Are you going to die?" and I began to wonder if my almost 3 year old is a little dark and twisty....
Anyway, so after I explained that I wasn't going to "choke and die" that I just didn't feel good because my tummy hurt she seemed to feel better about everything and went back to tormenting her little sister like usual.
Little did I know how the wheels in her brain were turning.
Last night after I had put Mia to bed (Mia goes to bed a half hour before Addie does--it's just easier that way), Addie and I were cuddling on the couch when all of sudden she sat up, looked at me real serious and said:

"Mommy, my tummy hurts. I gotta go choke on the potty."

How funny is she???

Great little story - except for the actual puking part. I hope this part passes quickly and that you feel better real soon.

What a sweet girl! I remember one time when I was pregnant with Parker and working at the preschool and I threw up while I was changing a little boy's poopy diaper. He looked at me with sweet sad eyes and kept saying "Becky...you okay Becky? You sick Becky?" Poor little guy was so concerned and had NO idea that the reason I was puking was because of my extremely sensitive sense of smell coupled with HIS super stinky diaper, lol!
