Oh boy!
These similarities between us first became noticeable when she started teething. The girl may be tiny, but boy does she have some lungs on her! I can’t tell you how many times I called my own mother, completely exhausted from one of the Little Diva’s fits and she would cheerfully respond “pay back time!”
She is stubborn like her momma, can’t stand it when she doesn’t get her way like her momma, only ever wants to eat junk food like her momma, and is quite the little miniature drama queen (though I try to blame her daddy for that one).
Of course, she gets some good qualities from me to, for example, she is pretty affectionate when she wants to be, has very strong “motherly instincts” already (did I mention the time I caught her trying to nurse her baby doll?), loves to dance around and sing songs like I did at her age (though she gets her lack of rhythm from her momma too) she has my squinty-eye smile and is very well mannered like her momma (we 100% for sure KNOW she gets this from me and definitely not her daddy).
But most recently, the most amusing characteristic my Little Diva got from me seriously cracks me up even if it does make more work for me.
The girl has to change her clothes like 5 times a day because any time she spills anything, including just a little bit of water when she is brushing her teeth, she freaks out and starts saying “It’s dirty!” and strips off all of her clothes. I bet if I do 4 loads of laundry 3 of them are all Addie’s clothes now. Maybe I’ll get my girly girl after all….
By the way, I will be 25 this year and I STILL don’t like to get dirty.
