Spring!

This week the weather has been so warm! We did have a thunderstorm last night but I would much rather have warm weather and storms then cold weather and snow. I HATE winter. I am very excited for spring and anxious for summer!
So what have the girls been up to lately???
Well, Mia has been scooting around and rolling to get where she wants to go since the week before she turned 6 months. She is getting better every day. Last week she started getting up on her hands and knees and rocking and I FINALLY got it on video! Whoo hoo!
Only about 5 seconds before my camera died but still! Addie never did the whole rocking thing…she army crawled and then went to hands and knees crawling so I don’t know how long Mia will rock for but I figure, she is already getting where she wants to go anyway so I would consider her to be mobile.
Mia also has recently expressed an interest in feeding herself. She grabs the spoon and shoves it in her mouth with uncanny accuracy! She very rarely misses but when she does miss it makes a GIGANTIC mess. But she wants to practice so I am letting her! : ) She gives “kisses” whenever you ask her now, in fact, when you ask Addie to give Mia a kiss, Mia turns her head in Addie’s direction with her mouth open, waiting for her kiss. Seriously, just about the cutest thing ever!
Addie learned how to “whistle” this weekend. She “whistles” kinda like how she “winks” (in case you don’t know, when you wink at Addie she “winks” back by blinking both of her eyes once…..hard to describe but you can just tell that she THINKS she is actually winking at you). Daddy would whistle at her and she would “whistle” back by saying “whoo woo”. Hilarious!
Addie says “thank you” constantly now. When I get her dressed, give her a toy or snack, when I fix her lunch or something to drink, when I put her bedtime diaper on her, when I give her a bath, when we go outside, play with her sidewalk chalk, even when I give her a kiss! She is very well mannered. ; )
The girls have been playing together a lot more lately! They are really cute together. I love watching them laugh and play games together. Here are some pictures and that 5 second long video of Mia rocking:
