Mia is crawling all over the place now and so naturally, she is developing a bit of an attitude. I have noticed that this tends to happen when babies become mobile and gets even more obvious when they start walking. Mia knows what she wants and gets very upset when she can’t have it or if someone takes it away from her.
Last night she kept grabbing my cell phone and when I would tell her “no” (she gets drool in it and then I can’t hear anything) she would immediately start throwing a massive fit.
When she is playing with a toy and Addie takes it away from her she looks at me and proceeds to scream and cry (no tears I might add) and then as soon as Addie hands it back to her she immediately stops.
I think I may have another drama queen on my hands…..
But the best part about Mia starting to crawl, is that now Addie and Mia are actually playing TOGETHER. And that is pretty darn precious.
Addie has always expressed an interest in Mia and they would have little “conversations” before where they giggled and smiled at each other and Addie would hand her toys to shake and stuff but there is a definite difference: They are playing together now.
I think they like eachother......for now anyway!
Oh! And VERY exciting news regarding Addie and potty training!
First, my potty training method: Letting Addie run around the house all day with a bare bottom. I discovered it was much easier doing that than trusting her to be able to take her pants and panties off fast enough. It seemed like when she was bare bottomed she would always make it to her potty in time and never had any accidents. When she was wearing panties she would have one or two accidents a day. This morning she demanded (and yes, I said "demanded" and I meant it too....Addie has a very strong personality...anyway), she demanded to wear her panties. So though I knew she was likely to have an accident in a couple of hours, I obliged. I figure, at least she is WANTING to wear panties now.So what is my exciting news?????
Addie JUST took her panties off and sat down on her potty, used her potty, did her ritual potty dance, exclaimed "YAY" and brought her panties back to me to help her put them back on.
This is some MAJOR progress! Go Addie!
