HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MIA!

Oh Mia! My sweet baby girl! I can't believe you are already ONE YEAR OLD! Where did the time go? It doesn't seem possible that my baby is such a big girl now.
When I think about your first year in my life, I find myself remembering the first few weeks and what a roller coaster ride they were!
Your first 2 weeks of life you just slept and slept. When you cried it sounded like a kitten. It was so quiet! You were always so quiet. At first I worried that you would not be able to hold your own in a household with your outgoing older sister. You quickly put my mind at ease.
Some where around 4 weeks you decided that you didn’t want to be my sweet, quiet, perpetually sleeping baby, you had something to say and you wanted to be heard.
Lucky for us, but especially me, once I figured out what soothed you the best, you returned to being my sweet angel baby and have continued to be my sweet girl since then.
You were always quick to give us a smile or a hug and a kiss. And you have always been such a cuddlebug!
From the very beginning, I truly believed you were going to always be a calm, mellow content little girl. So you can imagine my surprise when you started climbing before you could walk! On the chairs, the table, Addie's bed, even the toilet. If it was within your reach you climbed it, if it was out of your reach you figured out a way to climb it anyway. You are such a monkey!
It is easy to see that you completely adore your big sister just like she adores you. Before you learned how to crawl you would just sit there and watch Addie’s every move with a big smile on your face like you thought the world of her. When you did finally crawl and eventually walked, you followed Addie every where. It was heartwarming to watch you develop a relationship with your big sister. We love to sit and watch you two play together.

You are such a sweet, beautiful girl. I love playing with you, hearing you giggle, and listening to your sweet little voice say "peek-a-boo". I could hold you and kiss you forever and it still wouldn't be enough.
You have no idea how much joy you have brought me. Not just because people finally tell me one of my babies looks like me, but because you are you: an incredibly affectionate little lady. You are a go-with-the-flow kind of girl, which is a good addition to our-little-diva-of-a-first-born. You balance us out nicely and I could not ask for more.
So happy 1st birthday Mia Ashlyn, My Mia. I love you more than you will ever know.

What a sweet post! It brought tears to my eyes. It is so sad how fast this all is going. Happy Birthday to Miss Mia. Hope you all have a beautiful day.
So sweet. You better keep this so Mia can read it someday! Happy Birthday Mia!
I did the same thing for Addie on my myspace blog for her first birthday. I will definitely save them and let them read them some day! : )
